Today's technique is the spotlight technique this is where you have raised a portion of your stamped image and highlighted it in some way, in this case I have coloured it.
I have used the Birthday Blooms stamp set, this is a great open line art design perfect for coloring. Also if you have not heard Stampin' Up! Has a great new stamp set #imbringingbirthdaysback that you can purchase to stamp on the back of your cards and envelopes.
Today's project is inspired because I needed a container to hold Stampin' Spritzers, for tonight's technique class. It turns out it is great for storing those tiny tools that need to get stored up right too, such as the aqua painters, paper piercer and even the Wink of Stella marker. And yes for those of you who are attending class tonight you will also get to take one of these boxes home.
If you want to make this box the Measurements are as follows:
Today is the last day to get your order in to get your FREE Sale-a-Bration items, have you got all the items you want? I have used the Botanical Gardens designer series vellum cut with the hexagon hive thinlits die to lay over my card to create a soft looking background. The splotches are made using the Stampin' Spritzer.
Happy St. Patrick's Day. Did it rain chocolate gold coins at your house? It did at mine. Today's technique uses the glitter tape that you can get for Free during Sale-a-Bration with your $60 order (before shipping and taxes). I took the white glitter tape and with my sponge dauber I coloured it Garden Green and Old Olive. Just look how it sparkels in the sun. This is a fabulous product if you love glitter but don't like all the mess that goes along with it.
